Hi there! Pleased to see you! Welcome to 'The Teen Tribune x Vector Publications' present 'Teen Tales: your voice is your identity'. This is our FIRST EVER Writing competition.
Your task is simple: show us who you are through your writing.
GUIDELINES:
1. You have 2 prompts to choose from for 1 entry. You must stick to your prompt and use it creatively. Any entry without following either of the prompts stands for disqualification. They are-
a. Teenage Woes
b. Stuck in time
2. There are 2 methods of entry but both will be judged as one category-
a. Poem - up to 50 lines
b. Short Story - up to 1200 words
3. You may use your creativity. Any style of writing is permitted. English is the only accepted language for entries.
4. The competition is open from 23rd December to 31st December, 2020 at 11:59pm. You may submit your entry(s) at any time using the given linked button between these dates. Multiple entries are allowed.
5. Judging criteria- Teen Relevance, Creativity, Writer's flair, Overall impact. Jury's decision is final.
6. Bonus points for those who follow us on all our Social Media platforms!!
ROUND 1 SELECTION
The submitted entries will be judged by an internal jury. The shortlisted ones will be posted on this page of our website as well as on our Instagram page. We will send an email to the participants with the result by the 2nd of January, 2021.
ROUND 2 JUDGING
1. The shortlisted entries will be judged by Ms.Usha Menon, HOD English at NPS Koramangala, having 26 years of experience teaching English language and literature. She has been associated with Trinity college, London as their Pan India examiner panel and is a passionate environmentalist, dancer and foodie.
Participants, beware!!
2. 80% of the score will come from the judges' decision, 20% will come from the likes, comments and shares on your entry on this page as well as on our Instagram page.
3. Winner will be announced between 4th to 6th January.
PRIZES TO WINNERS
1. The winning entries will be featured in the closest newspaper issue of The Teen Tribune as well as a permanent feature on our blog here.
2. The winners stand a chance to write a BOOK with Vector Publications and join their ideation board.
